1969 – The Beginning of a successful journey Late Mr. Jivanbhai Patel carved a door and entered it to start omtex with a mission to produce healthwear and accessories of quality standards matching those of the best in the world 1979 – Pioneering the Industry Omtex was now a pioneer in making elasticated underwear for men capturing markets nationwide. This year also marked the entry of Mr. Dilip Patel (Chairman) into omtex. 1982 – Winning hearts all over Omtex was awarded as a Gold Medal Winner of the Trans World Trade Fair. The award was also felicitated to us by the then Governor of Andhra Pradesh. With this success we also started the business of manufacturing Jockstraps and Supporters. 1989 – The Sporty Milestone The journey saw another milestone when omtex specialized into sports and we started to lead the business a sporty way.
